I am enjoying my students very much. I try different ways to encourage them to speak in English. We read, play games, and practice asking and answering questions. They know that my Japanese language skills are not very good, so I have asked each student to teach me one word in Japanese at the beginning of class. They have to tell me what the word means in English if they can. If not, we all learn a new vocabulary word. I am excited to see what words they think are important enough to teach me.
